Cailleach

A poem by Kimberley Murray

This poem came to me during the first meeting of our beloved Áes Dána last Samhain with my incredible sisters

, , , , , Audrey and Breanne. I cannot believe it has been a full turn of the wheel since the magic of our incubator and all that was born from it.

In that meeting as Jen whisked us away upon the threads of myth I experienced a vision of a battlefield strewn with the bodies of men, women and children. These beings were not victims of physical violence as expected from such a scene, they were starving. The harrowing sight of skin and bone etched into my soul but I could not look away as I saw their starvation was not of food but of Divine Feminine energy. In a world of productivity where the energy of doing is celebrated while the energy of being is chastised, we have been starved of a vital part of ourselves and this has led to so much suffering.

An Chailleach told me that she had never fully left, as she walked me through the bodies she showed me she had been gathering souls for decades to raise the frequency of the feminine beyond the patriarchal limits placed upon it. The war to bring us all back into balance was near. During that vision, I channelled this poem as I pledged to be one of the women in her army of souls… on the eve that I met seven others… forever in my heart xxx ❤️
